Jin Prem kiyo tinhee Prabh paayo : a lesson of Love

We have all heard, God is Love and Love is God. It is by the link of Love, by which we attach ourselves with Him, and finally merge in Him. Dasvee Patshahee says : Saach keho suun laeho sabhay, jin praem keeo tin hee prabh paaeyo . I speak the truth, listen everyone: Only the one who is absorbed in True Love shall attain the Lord. Now, the question is how to Love Wahiguru. Do we need to say or repeat Him constantly : Wahiguru I love You, I love You ..... ? That is not the right attitude. Even at our worldly level, when we love someone, we try not to do anything which may cause hurt, and also the main thing is to spend as much time as possible in the company of the Beloved. Shabad Guru, surat dhun chela Part I

I was just listening a beautiful shabad kirtan, from the Bani of Fifth Patshahee in Raag Sree Raag, and though the whole shabd is beautiful and blissful, but there comes a line, in which Guru Jee reveals us our true essence as souls, as sikhs, and His true nature as True Guru. Here it goes: baah paka rh gur kaa dh i-aa so-ee u t ri-aa paar. Grasping him by the arm, the Guru lifts them up and out, and carries them across to the other side. Now let us just pay attention and see the beauty and depth in it. He is telling us, that, we by ourselves can do nothing, however much jap, tap, poojas, paaths we may do, even any outer rituals, but even then, we by ourselves can never ever get out from this mayavee creation. Because , all these types of devotion we do as manmukhs, we think we are doing it. The thing is, in real devotion we have to dissolve our ego, our ahankaar, our sudh, our budh, only He has to exist, we simply are not. That is why, our Guru Sahibans ha

When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities. God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs. . . . . -the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days; -those of the canary in 14 days; -those of the barnyard hen in 21 days; -The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days; -those of the mallard in 35 days; -The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!) God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. SUPREME IMPORTANCE OF NAM IN SIKHEE

Dhan Dhan Satguru Sachay Patshah Arjun Dev Maharaj, tells us in His Bani of Raag Jaitsiri, about the supreme importance of His Naam at all levels, realms and conditions. What is the purpose of all our devotional activities, we perform in our daily lives, up to the end of our days here in this world? Well, the answer of almost all of us will be, to wash our sins and generate love for His Lotus Feet. This is all right, but let us see, what our Guru Sahiban has to say about it: ਕਿਰਤ ਕਰਮ ਨ ਮਿਟੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਖਟਿਆ Kirath Karam N Mittai, Naanak Har Naam Dhhan Nehee Khattiaa किरत करम न मिटै नानक हरि नाम धनु नही खटिआ The karma of their past deeds cannot be erased, O Nanak, if they have not earned the wealth of the Lord's Name. He clearly says, if the kamaee of Lord´s Name is not gathered, our past deeds(karmas) and sins can not be washed away. THE REAL KATHA....

We limited humans, what mahima can we sing of Wahiguru? Of Him who is.oooch, apaar, beaant....Soami. The real katha of Himself is done by Himself. Naturally, if He is limitless, His katha has to be limitless in the true sense. Now who can perform that type of katha? Nobody. Except Himself. That is what and why, Guru Amar Das, says in His composition Anand Sahib, regarding the Amar Katha sung by Wahiguru Himself, through His expression of Nam, of Shabad in the following words: He starts stating, what does that Shabad look like or sound like.... vaajay panch sabad tis ghar sabhaagai. The Panch Shabad, the five primal sounds, vibrate in that blessed house. Then He states, what happens in the body(house) where that pure paviter Shabad is manifested and heard.... ghar sabhaagai sabad vaajay kalaa jit ghar Dhaaree-aa. In that blessed house, the Shabad vibrates; He infuses His almighty power into it. Then He continues to confirm what else happens when one listens to that Nam

Some words from Sukhmani Sahib...

SUKHMANI SAHIB IS REALLY AN OCEAN OF ETERNAL TRUTH: As it is said: Prabh Ka simran, sadh kee sangat. This is just a simple line of 6 words; but have we ever seen the depth in it? Guru Sahiban, wants to tell us that the method of Simran of Nam or Prabhu Wahiguru is got only, if we keep the company of a Sadh. So the question arises, what is a Sadh? This word sadh is repeated several times in the bani of our Gurus. Is he somebody wearing colored robes? Is he a sanyasi, a recluse or a yogi? Definetely not. Though this is what most commonly is believed to be. But the fact is totally different, totally the opposite . Let ´s have a correct view of it. Let us start giving the exact value and meanings of some common terms, in order to understand the message our Gurus want to give us through their teachings. Words like sikh, khalsa, sadh...Satguru. Wadhbhagee jeevas The meeting with a contemporary Gurmukh, for the purpose of God realization for each and everyone of us, is of vital importance. Why? Because as the Bani of Fifth Patshahee says: gobind gunee niDhaan gurmukh jaanee-ai. The Lord of the Universe is the treasure of excellence; He is known only to the Gurmukh. This means, if only a Gurmukh knows the real measure of Wahiguru, His real essence, He knows with what He is pleased, and above all He knows the real way, the real method to realize Him, it is only He, who can teach us the way to realize Him. Naturally, this is because He sees Him, by direct perception or visualization, as we can see each other. Everbody else talk on presumption of faith or imagination, but only a Gurmukh talks us about Wahiguru, because of self realization and constant comunion with Him. Shabad Guru surat dhun chela Part II

Guru, is a word of two syllables : Gu and Ru. Gu means darkness, and Ru means, the one who takes out from the darkness towards the Light. Darkness here means, ignorance, agyanta, and Light means gyan, knowledge. But what type of knowledge does Guru Sahiban refer to? Well, academic or worldly sciences are also knowlege, but are limited, because that knowledge is the outcome of the limited, namely mind. On the other side, Gurbani tells us: Sabh meh Jot, jot hae soee. Which means, the Light is present in all beings, and that Light is the True Supreme Being, which we commonly know as God, Wahiguru, Parmatma, Khuda, and so on in different languages and religions. Now this Jot, is an supraconsciouss energy, an infinite Ocean of love,and mercy. It is not someone physicall,with beards, and a royal outfit, sitting on a throne and watching all beings to judge, by punishing or rewarding us.
