Sikhism is the real unpolluted teachings of our Gurus, due to their infinite grace and mercy on us, some lines from them are presented at the service of the beloved Sangat of Wahiguru, and for that purpose Asa Di War has been taken today, as it has been repeated several times, that in their Bani throughout, special mention is made to only three things: Satnam(Wahiguru Akal Purukh), Satguru or Gurmukh and Nam or Shabad. And this is clearly seen in the below lines:
nadar karahi jay aapnee taa nadree satgur paa-i-aa.
If the Merciful Lord shows His Mercy, then the True Guru is found. *Not otherwise
ayhu jee-o bahutay janam bharammi-aa taa satgur sabad sunaa-i-aa.
This soul wandered through countless incarnations, until the True Guru instructed it in the Word of the Shabad.
* Here, when Guru Sahiban says:" until the true Guru instructed in the Word of Shabad", means, when only, if we are wadbhagee, we come and meet a perfect true Satguru, then He gives us the Gurprasad of the bhed or jugtee of Nam, then only we can meet and become one with Wahiguru Akal Purukh.
satgur jayvad daataa ko nahee sabh suni-ahu lok sabaa-i-aa.
There is no giver as great as the True Guru; hear this, all you people.
*So beacuse of this Gurprasad is got from a Satguru, He is the highest giver among humans, because He gives us that something of His real essence, which is nothing but Shabad. Just as a trader of jewels, trades with gold, and diamonds; so does a true Gurmukh or Satguru trade with Nam, His wealth is Nam, and He freely distributes it those who come and take refuge at His Lotus feet.
Again in the following lines Guru Sahiban stresses upon the importance and need of a contemporary Gurmukh, for self realization and God realization:
satgur mili-ai sach paa-i-aa jinHee vichahu aap gavaa-i-aa.
Meeting the True Guru, the True Lord is found; He removes self-conceit from within,
*Means, meeting the true Guru, ones agyanta and ego or haume are removed, and once this is achieved, automatically next Wahiguru is realized.
jin sacho sach bujhaa-i-aa.
and instructs us in the Truth of Truths.
*Instructing in the truths of truth means: getting from Him the Gurprasad, the technique, the jugtee, the bhed of unfolding that Nam or Shabad inside ourselves.
This is the wadayee,of a real Gurmukh. That is why it is said in the Bani: even if there were hundreds of moons and thousands of Suns in the Sky, even then without a Satguru, there would be utter(agyanta) darkness for us.
As it is clearly said: Awar kaaj tere kitte na kam, mil, Sadh Sangat, bhaj kewal Nam
*Means, in the company of a Sadh, a Gurmukh, we come to know the truth, we get the real understanding....not only that, but even, we come to reunite our souls with Wahiguru, once and forever, from whom we have been separated since eons and have been wandering in the unending cycle of births and deaths.
So Wahiguru created us and sent us to the creation, but only when He came as a Satguru or Gurmukh, and gave us the Amrit of Nam, as Gurprasad, we could merge our souls in Him.
