Sikhism

Sikhism is a science, is a philosophy, a way of life, which deals mainly on the objective, which is none other than Wahiguru Akal Purukh. And this pure and noble objective, viewd from any angle, is the only worthy purpose of man.

Why is is it so?

Because, anything apart from it, is fake,is transitory, is perishable, and is thus chaining oneself to pain and suffering, which means to continue in the wheel of eighty four, or in the unescable cycle of births and deaths.

Wahiguru Akal Purukh, is the fountain of real and everlasting peace, joy and happiness... not only that, but also of the real knowledge.

One has not to be a scholar, or a Phd in religion, neither of any particular caste, creed, color or nationality, nor of any economic status. Spirituality or ruhaniyat has nothing to do with it. What counts is only love and devotion for Him. No rituals, no pilgrimages, no bathing in any sacred waters, no candles or lamps, no fasting....nothing of that sort. These are only outer forms of a lower worship, which leads us no where, but instead feeds our ego, as if we have done something good or important; but the fact is we are misled by our mind, our manmukhta, without even moving an inch self in spirituality or ruhaniyat.

For that, a definete method has to de practiced, nothing more nor less. Becasuse that method is not man made; so naturally mind is not involved. Though mind may rebel up to our last breath and shake us, but we have to persist and stick to it, as in it, lies our real welfare, and will show our Gurmukhta, and in the end the victory will be ours.
The battle of the battles will only be won then, not otherwise. Since the soul left Satnam´s abode: Sach Khand, since inmemorial times; it has been wandering restlessly, in the creation of Kal ,maya and "man"= mind, in all the species of lives.
So now is our chance. As it is said in the bani: bhai parapat manukh dehuriya, Gobind milan kee yeh teri bahriya. So, let us make the right and maximmum use of this golden opportunity, to merge back in our origin: Satnam.

As said above, for that a definite method is needed and practiced continously, which is the true essence of sikhism, and that is given to us by our Gurus, as Gurprasad, as Nam Simran. And to illustrate it, some bani is taken for this purpose:

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਅੰਤਿ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਈ
naanak naam n chaethiou anth leae shhaddaaee
O Nanak, the mortal does not even think of the Name, which shall deliver him in the end.

jinhee naam visaariaa kiaa jap jaapehi hor
Those who forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord - so what if they chant other chants?

bisattaa andhar keett sae muthae dhhandhhai chor
They are maggots in manure, plundered by the thief of worldly entanglements.

naanak naam n veesarai jhoothae laalach hor
O Nanak, never forget the Naam; greed for anything else is false.

naam salaahan naam mann asathhir jag soee
Those who praise the Naam, and believe in the Naam, are eternally stable in this world
(here praising means, Nam Simran, Nam abhyaas, Nam Bhakti, and its fruits are clearly mentioned in the lines below)

hiradhai har har chithavai dhoojaa nehee koee
Within their hearts, they dwell on the Lord, and nothing else at all.

rom rom har oucharai khin khin har soee
With each and every hair, they chant the Lord's Name, each and every instant, the Lord.

guramukh janam sakaarathhaa niramal mal khoee
The birth of the Gurmukh is fruitful and certified; pure and unstained, his filth is washed away.

(We can clearly see by this the importance of Nam Simran... Wahiguru Himself is obtained.... But what do we manmukhs do instead? We fight and cut the throats of those who do not think like us, we want to live and fight for a piece of land, property, as we are going to live forever in this world. Please let us do a little justice to oursrelves, and follow literally the simple truths of our Gurus, which liberate us, and not the cruelty and agyanta of the manipulators, which makes us run after the shadows instead of the Fountain of light: Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Let us not forget, we all live according to our pralabdh karmas, which nobody can alterate... we shall not get nothing less nor more than what is stored for us, then why waste time after worldly objects... which chain us to this creation with more down pulling force. Are we not stupids?
But yes, one thing we can do and that is Nam Simran, which will remove all our agyanta, and wash the filth of all our karmas, make us purer, and fit to merge in Akal Purush, and this wealth of Nam, the more we amass it, the more it benefits us in every way, and this is the true wealth which the soul can take it with itself, and is going to be our saviour in this world as in the next one, that is why it is said in the bani: eh loke, parloke, sang sahaaee.... )

naanak jeevadhaa purakh dhhiaaeiaa amaraa padh hoee
O Nanak, meditating on the Lord of eternal life, the status of immortality is obtained.

jinee naam visaariaa bahu karam kamaavehi hor
Those who forget the Naam and do other things,

naanak jam pur badhhae maareeahi jio sannhee oupar chor
O Nanak, will be bound and gagged and beaten in the City of Death, like the thief caught red-handed.

(Here we can clearly see once again, that, any other activity, than not doing Nam Simran, is going to hand us in the court of Kal, where we shall be judged for wasting our precious time of this human birth, and going to be beaten untill we turn red and blue, which means continue in the endless painfull cycles of births and deaths.)

We may do whatever we want, dress or behave in anyway we may think that it makes us proud of the land, culture or country where we are born, but according to the real teachings of our Gurus, we may take any bani....only Nam is Sach, and to achieve it, and become one with it, is the essence of any true religion, and in this case it applies to sikhism.
